Jesus is a shape-shifter (read how easily he escapes an angry mob that just dragged him to a cliff's edge...): (Luke 4: 16-30) "16 And he (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister (defined as "attendant"), and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them. This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? 23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save Sarepta (Zarephath), a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. 28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 30 But he (Jesus) passing through the midst of them went his way"

"Karma" (Eastern beliefs): (Luke 6:35-38) "35 But love ye your enemies and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

Vocabulary: bier- a stand on which a corpse or a coffin containing a corpse is placed before burial. (Luke 7:14). Why point this out? I didn't know what a bier was. The passage is about Jesus touching a bier, and telling the dead boy to wake up, which he did, and that scared the whole lot of them! "14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people."

The eye is the light of the body. (Luke 11:34-35) "34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, they whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness."
This description is right on the money in a dream I had last year. In the dream I saw 2 of my friends running past me. In the distance behind them I saw a man dressed in a black suit, white shirt, black everything else. That little voice I attribute to God told me to stop the man and tell him to repent. I was shy and a little afraid, but when I noticed the look in his eyes, a focused look, intent on obtaining his objective, and whatever it was his eyes would not come off of his prey, who happened to be my friends. I stuck my arm out and yelled "Repent and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!" To my suprise (which scared me a little), he stopped, and sort of cringed back a little and told me he didn't want to (in a non-threatening way, but he looked sinister nonetheless). I saw his face, and he looked so much like a man, a well dressed one at that, and a bit older, in his late 40s or early 50s. His eyes were the weirdest...it was like the X-Files episodes of the people possessed by the alien black oil. That black oil effect showed up on his eyes...at first they were normal, maybe a little black, then the black oil coated his eyes and I knew his soul was in darkness. I asked him why not? He said he didn't like the 10 commandments. I told him to talk it out with God. He didn't seem to believe it would do any good for him. I felt bad for him and scared at the possibility of going where he is likely going in the end.
On the other hand, we are directed to serve God and others with a smile on our face. When we smile, really smile, it changes our mood, and it shows in our eyes. When someone is in need of ministering or if you are serving somebody in any way, shape, or form, and you smile and it shows in your eyes, you are a walking tool of God in that your facial demeanor being pleasing to others is likely to lift at least one person's mood that day.

Vocabulary: "Lord" = master (Luke 12:37) = goodman (master) (Luke 12:39). "37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord (defined as master) when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat (defined as eat), and will come forth and serve them." and "39 And this know, that if the goodman (defined as master) of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through (into)."
